Unbeliviable SG Scam

This happened a couple months back to my best friend. My friend is the model CM. She is a trainier, loved by all and is definitly going far in the company. A family with a GAC and a child using a stoller as wheelchair came into the pavilion and rode the ride. Since strollers are not permited in the pavilions another CM not seeing any wheelchair stroller sticker on the stroller did what they are suppose to do and take it out to stroller parking. Well the family comes back and are understandably upset. They come yelling at my friend who promplty tries to calm them down in doing so ushers them into the next show they were going to see anyway. Inside the theatre she kneels down and reassures them the stoller will be outside once the show is over. They thank her, smile and she goes on her way thinking how good she did.

A few minutes later she is called into an office upstairs and there is OCP, our manager and the VP of Epcot. Needless to say her smile quickly fades when its revealed that the lovely SG she just helps are pressing charges against her and plan on sueing Disney as well. They claim while alone in the theatre she grabbed the husbands privates in front on his family, He removed her hand and she again reached out and touched her privates again.
At which my friend breaks down crying and screams her innocence. Everyone agress they believe my friend is being falsly accused and stand behind her 100 percent. The VP goes to talk to the people who agree to drop the suit for free passes. This confirms to the everyone that is this just a scam but they still have to follow procedure.

to finish this long story. It turns out this was a common scan for this couple. They had done this same scam on a CM in MK and DLR. They would find a really helpful model CM, Make some wild claim of battery and then say they will drop all charges for free tickets to Mickey Not so scary halloween, hotel stays and other freebies which disney gave them. Seeing all the free stuff and realizing the scam. The family was promply banned from all Disney Properites worldwide. My friend got a copy of the paperwork and was able to watch as police escorted the family off poperty.

Wow, that's crazy. It must been really scary being accused of something like that, but I can definitely see being satisfied with it leading to the family being banned from all Disney properties. Good thing there were records of all the free stuff the family had received otherwise the scam would have probably never been caught.

The nerve of some people :mad: !!! To think- some innocent employee who had gone above and beyond to help these people could have lost her job and her source of income just so they could scam the company for a few free tickets. They should have been made to pay back the value of anything they've been given in the past for the same accusations...I hope their pictures are posted for security at every gate to see, cause I'm sure they'll try to come back at some point.

I'd like to see Disney sue them for recovery of the costs of the passes, as well on behalf of the CM's who were falsely accused. I also hope they did more than just have the cops escort them off, I hope they filed a criminal complaint!

seconded. I can't imagine what that poor CM went through. I am glad that Disney saw through the lies, though, and were able to determine that this family was screwing them (and the CMs) over. I hope security is able to keep them off property.....what assholes.

I'm glad they realized it was a scam in time to keep anything from happening to this CM, but what about the others that got caught up in the scam. I hope that any action against them was also corrected. It's scary in sexual harassment claims because the accused is often instantly considered guilty even when the proof shows that they've been wrongly accused.

What if this poor CM had a heart condition and got ill or worse after being accused of something so vile? Stress like that can kill.
This CM and any of the other CM's that were scammed should sue for libel.
