Perhaps I should have been more specific. From the house it's a three mile drive to the West Maui Airport. Then it's a 45 minute flight to Honolulu. From the airport it's 20.7 miles on the H1 and surface streets to Ko Olina. Round trip air is $140.Main Streeter wrote:80 mile commute is nothing for a Free place in Ha. Take it Kman! ;)

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

You can crash here but it's an eighty mile commute. ;)

Um, hobie... You didn't mention the other option... sailing. Sail 76 miles each day? I'd do it.hobie16 wrote:Perhaps I should have been more specific. My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Getting to Oahu would be pretty easy. Motor to Kapalua and catch the trades all the way.Big Wallaby wrote:Um, hobie... You didn't mention the other option... sailing. Sail 76 miles each day? I'd do it.
Getting back not so much. It's either beat back through the trades that average 23 MPH or reach across to Molokai, around the back side of Lanai, and an easy beat back to Maui.

From what I know of Hawai'an customs, if you try to pick your own pineapple, a whipping is likely to follow promptly. Will that do?PatchOBlack wrote:What I want to know is....will Dole Whip be served? :cat1:

I've never heard anything about pineapple rustlers. Either the growers don't care or the rustlers drift down the Lahaina Roadstead on their way to Tahiti.Zazu wrote:From what I know of Hawai'an customs, if you try to pick your own pineapple, a whipping is likely to follow promptly. Will that do?
