Needless to say, I was pissed. For days, when I was on break I spent my time watching for my bag (which was unique).
Did you ever get it back?

Never. Had to go and rebuy the book. The worst part is, you know they took one look and tossed it.

When I worked full time I had a real problem with someone taking my chocolate bars. I always kept one or two in the fridge. I finally got upset and put in a chocolate laxative. When It disappeared I had great laugh. Never did find out who did it, but it did stop...

I used to work with a person who had no issues with taking food. One day I brought in some BBQ potato chips. Since they were already a nice reddish color I decided to add a few ingredients. So I added some chili powder and ground habanero pepper to the bag.
After shaking it to mix all the special ingredients I left it where the thief could find it. For some reason I never had a problem with missing food again. And since I really like spicy foods I thought the chips were great. :)

The inspiration for Don (the boss) in the above videos took any food that wasn't labeled, even if he knew who's it was, which he did, because there were about 10 employees.

I caught him eating my desert one day, and he just grinned this smug grin and replied "I don't see your name on it..."

His "reasoning" was that he was merely providing the natural consequence for people forgetting to label their food... and he was the boss so I just had to learn to label everything super-prominently.

And that's not even getting into the time they took the break room fridge hostage due to a dispute regarding the coffee machine... or the time they tried to penalize me for bringing my own hot chocolate mix instead of buying it from their machine.

I gotta make more videos yet.

One year my wife got me a jelly bean dispenser for my desk at work.

and several bags of jelly bellys!

as you might imagine, they disappeared quickly when I filled it.(no big deal)

I went on a long trip for work and stayed near the DFW airport. during some down time, I found a store that sold super hot jelly beans (called Ass-kicking)

thinking that it would curb the jelly bean 'theif" I filled the jar.

turns out they (co-workers) liked them better!
