Asking a Favor....

At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Will tell Ernie his card arrived when I see him for lunch. Thanks for posting DM. Could the "same town as one in Ireland" be Dublin? In NorCal as you know. Ashley sent 6 or 7 cards for me Tues. They will be late as I just couldn't quite manage to get all together. The little tissue wrapped gift you saw in B D bag was Mickey holding up a cute B D cake. Too perfect! Had to get this. :)DisneyMom wrote:Received several more cards, from Ktulu and Ernie, and one I'm not sure who from yet, please forgive meSame town as one in Ireland, so post if it was you, Thanks!!!!! :)

Re: Asking a Favor....
Purpie and I finally sent out ours yesterday. Just to let you know, DisneyMom, I couldn't find a standard birthday card that I felt was dignified enough for an 80 year old retired marine, so we did a simple blank card, and wrote a note in it. Hopefully he won't mind.
For Randy, For Bonny, For Chris...

Re: Asking a Favor....
I hope mine arrives soon! I sent a postcard rather than a birthday card, as the postcards seem to reach the US much faster than a regular card or letter for some reason.
