Asking a Favor....

At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Asking a Favor....
My FIL will be celebrating his 80th Birthday Sept.20......
Our Family has decided to "blitz" him with cards, hoping to at least send him 80
He would be very thrilled to get so many! He is the best sort, served in the Korean War, a retired carpenter who only wanted to raise his 6 kids right and
provide for his wife and Family.
If you would be so nice to send him a card/postcard.,PM me....I'll give his name and location to send.I know there are so many of you out there who are from a wide variety of interesting places and do so many different things that would be great to tell him about- if you don't want to use your name, your board name would be fine.
THANK YOU in advance to any who want to help!

DisneyMom's Father In law is a surviving member of The Frozen Chosen - Korean War. He is an American Veteran who deserves our Thank you.
We can be a huge part of this special Birthday Card surprise with such little effort. Please ALL join & wish John a Very Happy 80th Birthday. Ernie did honor John at DL Flag Retreat 2 years ago. I'm not sure who was really honored the most as there were tears in the eyes of both John & Ernie. Ernie has a Birthday Card ready to be mailed to his inspiring friend. A postcard from your city, state, an American Flag, favorite place, pix of your pet, a Birthday Card from Hallmark Shoe Box, or The Dollar Tree, or even better, let your child draw/make the Birthday card. Whatever form you choose will be absolutely great! We can All give John a memorable Birthday!! Please send cards to snail DisneyMom provides. I have the snail for you all too.
Be a part of something Good! Please send John a card on his 80th Birthday. He MUST realize he is wished a smile & a thought.

Spectrum,
According to your profile you should be able to and and receive PMs. I added 1 to your post count just in case. Give it another shot.

they flow from me,
inscribed but now unbound,
I touch them,
and they are real,
