Asking a Favor....
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Re: Asking a Favor....
DM, you are not indebted to any of us, & I really did nothing difficult. We all owe your FIL gratitude for his service to America in the Korean War. He is a humble surrvivor of The Frozen Chosin. http://www.frozenchosin.com I can't even imagine the horror he lived through yet never spoke a word about. Wish I had met him when he was at DL. If any of you would like to view pix of this American Hero they are on DisneyLand Flag Retreat FB. Many Thank yous to Ktulu.
Ernie just sent B D card today. Think there are 4 or 5 more B D cards my girlfriend must mail. She had to fill up every square inch. ;)

Re: Asking a Favor....
When Ernie told me about your FIL he was in tears & shaking. He has spoken of John many times. John touched Ernie beyond words. He is a true inspiration to Ernie & all who know him. I remember googling http://www.frozenchosin.com after John was honored. Totally reading this history all night. Why aren't we taught this in school? An entire important military battle forgotten & unknown by Americans. More than sad. DM, you have Ernie's FB & Em just tell him when FIL & MIL will return to DL. They will have M G comps, dinning comps, & DPI will take all pixs. They will be our very Special guests & have magic their entire stay. :usflag:DisneyMom wrote:Thank you MS, very glad you looked up link and posted it....We only knew about it because Ernie asked. Re: Asking a Favor....
That is beyond kind, I certainly hope that FIL will be up to visit sometime in near future! Recent Surgery and fatigue from aches and pains from many years working as a Carpenter/Painter. To have him to come back will be a wonderful day for all of us :) He has a sister who lives within Walking Distance of DLR and he will be happy to see her, too. It truly was a Magical Day when he was last there :) ALL OF YOU CMS ARE PART OF SOMEONE'S HAPPY MEMORIES,THANK YOU!!!!!From a most grateful guest! :)Main Streeter wrote:When Ernie told me about your FIL he was in tears & shaking.
