We know who we are...kinda. They have a good idea who they are...mostly. And I say vote with your clicks (mouse), if you want x, y, z..go where ever it is.

The part that is the funniest is that any one could think a group of CAST MEMBERS could be un Disney. I think we are realists that work in 'Fantasyland' but are fully grounded (mostly) in the irony of where we work and sometimes (need more time) play.

The funniest and sorriest (is that a word) encounters I have on an almost hourly basis are those SGs who try to "out Disney me". Seriously? You wanna be all sarcastic ..."You didn't say Welcome Home!", "you aren't smiling!", and that crap and you expect me to be all pixie dust in reply? You get courtesy...politeness....and none of the extras hon.

Yeah, I should be smiling while I an running an emerency call and you wanna pin trade? Seriously?!?!?

I have a person on the ground in a medical emergency and complain that I will not tell you what is going on? Seriously????

Oh, you are held a couple of minutes while cast are making sure your ungratelful *ss is safe. Then you complain that you are late for dinner? Seriously???

Worse. They come and get hired cause they are breathing...then try to "out Disney" their trainer, their collegues, their managers and hit the matrix cause they do not get time off on weekends??? Seriously??!!!!

When I first got to MK, I put on a pedometer. (Was trying to lose weight...don't ask) When I saw the double digit miles I put on my feet on a slow day, I broke the damned pedometer. Yeah, I was frustrated I walked that far and still wasn't losing weight. ;)

I dare any of these complainers that say we are "un Disney" or "not Disney enough" to stand and walk for 8 hrs with just one hour off for breaks and food. Then you see what kind of mood you and your body are in...then imagine you had to be super nice to every jack*** that could pay the entry fee.

Yeah...did I mention I hate the holidays?

I'm not sure where this rant came from. I've heard nobody accuse any CMs of being undisney anywhere in this thread. It was a thread about accusing a group of people on boards x,y, and z of all being SGs.

I enjoy reading this board as a hopeful future CM. It is entertaining and it keeps my expectations in check. I believe in the need for a place to vent.

I simply started this thread because I also read "board X". (Maybe the most popular board x) and I simply don't see all the SGs that I've read references to. I mostly see nice folks looking for info in planning their trips.

I didn't want to stir up any arguments or debates or hard feelings. Cheers.

I think that the problem is, that SG'ism comes from the ATTITUDE of the guest. Some guests can make mistakes or have accidents but not be SG's, but other guests can have the same mis-adventure and be total SG's.

you can pick them out on board x, y, or zed just by the way they post at times.

(complain and get a free upgrade, complain because the CM didn't wish me a happy birthday because I was in a crowd of 5,000 heading into the park and he didn't see my button, and so forth)

want a way to see SG's? shut down an attraction for whatever reason (safety, etc.) and see the ones that DEMAND the attraction be opened back up for them because they are leaving for the airport in ten minutes, and the ONLY reason they came for a week was to go on the attraction. (yeah, their logic is flawed a bit)

Or they will tell you how much they paid for a vacation and demand some sort of compensation.

I have been to Disneyland more times than I can count, and WDW 12 times or so. we have had attractions get shut down, or are down for some maintence. no big deal, move on to another one and we will catch it next time.

like I said, its more of a poor entitlement attitude than anything else.

Bleh. I don't want to sound like a broken record, so this will be my last post. Maybe it's a different message board than the DIS discussion board. If so, my appologies for even bringing this topic up.

For the most part, I don't read "entitlement" into most of the threads on that board. I see a board with 98 percent nice folks sharing info about Disney.

I understand that as a CM you would see a lot of people throughout your work days who are SGs and act "entitled" and so forth. For that, I sympathize. I just don't see it on the other message board I read. I'm in no way defending any SGs that anybody has actually witnessed. I've seen it too, and when I do, I either speak up or ignore them. Instead, I am defending a community of people who actually seem really nice.

Look at it this way, there millions of visitors to the Walt Disney World Resort annually. 98% of them have a great time, enjoy their trip and cause no problems. Less than 2% are the ones who earn the titles of SG.

Parties of 33 should consider dividing their parties into two groups of 16 and a half each.

I had one of these last week. We were shutting down for a lightening storm-nothing to mess with in Central Florida. The ride I was working is basically a building made entirely of metal-and this SG decides he's NOT going to evacuate and go to the shelters because this was his last day, the plane is leaving tomorrow and if he leaves he'll lose his place in line. My brain was screaming: "are you KIDDING ME???"
Thankfully, one of our coordinators had come up to help us get everyone out and he politely but firmly convinced Mr SG that a metal building was not the place he wanted to be.
