Real Fire on Pirates?

on another forum I visit NOT board "X". There was a post that there was a fire in one of the scenes. They said all the interior lights came on and music went silent as the boats were cycled out.

I was wondering if there is any truth to this story.

Well, I know that is exactly what happens on all (well all that I'm trained on) attractions when the fire alarm goes off, if the CM does not push the button to acknowledge that they heard the alarm in a set amount of time (a very few seconds, quicker is better) Although that doesn't necessarily mean this is what happened. The sound can be turned off and lights turned on at anytime really. It's all controlled from the main console.

Actually, the fastest and safest way to evac most any attraction in the event of any emergency is to cycle it out. We don't want to shut down when a fire alarm sounds as that could leave guests stranded in a room with fire.

I need to ask an "Is it true?". There is a special effects kill switch for emergency crews so they won't be confused between the fake fire and real flames. Is it true?

I'd imagine every attraction has an e-stop switch, but this is supposedly a special one for the fire effects.

Yes. If PotC had a real fire the fire alarm is set to disable the special efect fires to not confuse fire fighters.

If there was a real fire at Pirates, all the fake fire would turn off and the work lights would come on....and when was this supposed fire?
