I had the same kinda experience. I interviewed with the director of sales for an SE position. Both the verbal and body language told me he was going through the motions and wasn't interested in me.

Two days later I interview for what turned out to be the best job I ever had. I signed up immediately.

A week later I get a call from the head hunter for Mr. Disinterested telling me I was far and away the best candidate and when can I start. I told her what my experience during the interview was and that I'd found a better position.

Oh yeah, Mr. Disinterested worked for MCI. A year later they went POOF and Bernie Ebers is still in jail.

I agree, I usually make all my ressies online. However, I have called lately to see if the prices are out for next March, but I always call when I have the time to speak with someone. What idiot thinks you're there strictly at their convenience?

An idiot with an overinflated sense of entitlement. In other words, a SG.

I, too, always book my vacation on-line. When I call for my dining reservations, I set aside an hour or so, so there won't be any interruptions.

Forgive me for being clueless on this, but can dining reservations be made online?

I always get an e-mail when I make my online reservations, they send a form that asks my arrival/departure times at MCO for town car pick up and asks for dates/times of dining reservations requested. (and any extra tours, special celebrations etc.)

I have always gotten the reservations within a half hour or so of the times requested. the CM's do an outstanding job.

Yup. They can even do some things we can't do from the inside, thanks to a la carte 1.0 being so screwed up.

Access is available all night too, for those in foreign time zones. No more setting the alarm for 4am!

Not trying to make excuses if he was a SG, but it may have depended on how long he was on hold before getting through. I have had similar experiences, not with Disney, where you get the pre-recorded "your business is important to us, however we are experiencing larger than normal call volumes. Your approx wait time is XX minutes" - where I had left what I thought was enough time to deal with my issue, but by the time I actually got to talk to a person, I did not. I have heard of long wait times with Disney, just have been lucky enough not to experience anything beyond about 10-15 minutes, and normally it is 2-3.

FYI, finalized prices for 2011 won't be out until August or so... (They're released at about the same time every year.)

So I've been told. :(

But that's okay....in the meantime I will tweak my budget, buy my AP and just look at pictures of the Poly online (my hubby decided it's okay to splurge!)
