I am late for an appointment can you book this for me..
Why oh Why SG do you call the reservation center when you are running late to an appointment, on your way to an appointment or know you have a limited amount of time to be on the phone.
I had a guest call and asked me to get him pricing on a package. During the process of the call he asked me to "hurry up because I am running late for an appointment". I do not understand why guests call when they are in a hurry....

Perhaps you haven't realized yet that the world revolves around them. You must have missed that memo!

What, you mean you didn't already have his info looked up and waiting for him to call? How dare you for not being able to look into the future and know he would be calling while he was running late.hrcollectibles wrote: I do not understand why guests call when they are in a hurry....

yeah, When I make ours, I usually do it via the web, once in a while I'll have to call about something, but mostly its via e-mail. and we havn't been let down yet. everything is always done for us.
A few times we tried to make a last minute ADR change and took what was available, but thats just the way things are.
one of the favorite signs we had at work was the old"
"poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part"

that statement to the OP by the customer is almost as rude as being in a conversation with someone and they answer their phone.

Reminds me of a job interview I was on once. The interviewer picked up his phone an switched in mid-sentence from talking to me to saying, "Hello," without so much as a, "Sorry, I have to take this call."GRUMPY PIRATE wrote:that statement to the OP by the customer is almost as rude as being in a conversation with someone and they answer their phone.
I got up to walk out and he shouted, "Wait, we're not done yet!"
"Oh, I think I have enough information about your firm to make my decision," I said. "Thanks for being so clear about where I stand in your priorities."
I still think that was a good call, even though it was four more months before I found work.
Especially when he left six messages over the following week telling -- not asking -- telling me when to come back in to finish the interview. Rude *and* clueless!
