The most disturbing thing ever is the picture of that lawyer on the billboards at Christmas, with a Santa hat and beard, but that's not the frightening part. No, it's him with a cheesy smile. AAAAAAAAAAAAH!

EDIT: Here's a picture. Sweet dreams.

So if you read his card, he'll sue for anything.
Seems like the advantage he has is that all he has to do is show up in court, and the other side will settle rather than have to see him every day!!

I've never seen his billboards before but they are scary. I do hear his radio commercials all the time.

That's not so far from the truth! I worked for a company that was sued over its hiring practices (rejecting women and minorities). It lost and had to pay money to rejected applications, which I can understand. However, it also had to run newspaper ads seeking people who were thinking about applying during the specified time period but did not because they thought they might be discriminated against!!!! Then they could file to get $$ from the settlement. I'll never forget that. It was so totally and utterly bizarre.

"For the people"? Sounds like a light-weight. At least you don't have to put up with all the commercials for "The Strong Arm" or "The Texas Hammer." :clubb:

Union lawyers in Texas? Which one do they belong to?

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Actually, my guess is that the connection is more likely to the baking soda company.

No shock, the judge ruled (While laughing inside I bet) in favor of Disney.

No wait, I think I can top you boys...stand back.

...ahem.

*clears throat, makes eyes big and round*

I visited WDW for the first time the year it opened when I was nine months old and almost every year of my life after that and...in 2008 I WENT BLIND!

Okay, now seeing how no lawyer would take a malpractice suit for me here where a doctor speficially lied about my spinal tap test results (saying they proved I had MS when in fact they were negative) and I was stuck with that label for five years even after I had to quit him because he wanted to force me into a medication study. Yes, he was getting vacations at the very least from the pharm company too because we were in his office, with the doors open, and he discussed at length one of his trips with the drug rep (while he made me wait long past my appointment time I might add).

I couldn't sue him, and was also told it'd be 'difficult to prove' years later that the hospital I was sent to- by my PCP straight from his office- whom he called to tell he thought I was having a stroke- made me wait in the ER instead of immediately admitting me, then gave me a Valium, said I was having a panic attack and left me in a room alone. I didn't see a neurologist till the next day.

If I had, I'd likely still be able to drive a car.

If it had been a massive stroke, I'd be dead.

If this person can make stroke 23 days after TOT stick, I'll be flabberghasted but stranger things have happened.

Unreal.

addition: I don't care if you're in the age group for it or not, listen to me good. If you have symptoms of stroke and go to a hospital and they do not take you seriously, LEAVE IMMEDIATELY and go to another one. I wish I had by the time we got there I couldn't really talk and I was obviously in so much pain I couldn't speak up for myself by then. I thought I was going to be taken care of.

I was only 29 at the time (and being a woman they didn't take it seriously) especially if you've taken any hormone containing medications (yes kids, this means birth control pills/patches/shots too) you MUST take these things seriously.

Okay, that's the end of my little PSA. I love you guys, just had to say that.

Doh- okay, edit again I missed Indy's post where he said Disney won. My bad.
