If you had ever been to the park, especially in it's early days, you'd see that there are just about as many stores are attractions. So, if you replace that at that time Pressler was in charge of what into that park, then yes, that's pretty much exactly the situation. He's also the one responsible for the failure of the Rocket Rods, cause he wouldn't let them spend the money that was necessary to build it correctly, so they had to take shortcuts and therefore it was an inferior attraction.

I'm so glad we can agree on this.
*shakes head*

Disney does not put unpopular attractions in on purpose. They even have a history of removing popular attractions to put so-called more popular attractions in their place (see toad replaced by Pooh at WDW). So think what you want, but i think the 1 hour wait times during peak times for Muppet and Bug speak for themselves.

Once again posting false statements, intentionally trying to anger others.

Post the full quote of Walt saying this, and where we can verify this. I've read many books on Walt, and I've never read where Walt said Disneyland was a mistake.

OK, just saw this thread and have to chime in! :)
Being a Disneyland regular, I cannot see how it is a "mistake". I go there to have a great time, usually for just a day, sometimes 2, and ALWAYS am satisfied, even if I am doing the same rides/attractions I do everytime. There is NEVER time to do everything, not even close, and most times we don't even make it to DCA (although I love several attractions over there).
Since we go maybe a dozen or more times a year, it is like fitting in an extra 2-week vacation in, without actually having to take the time off. Everytime we go, the place is packed, with lots of people making purchases. It is a business that is expanding, even in this economy.
The most important thing I think I can say is that I am sure that without Disneyland, and Walt's Dreams, there would NOT be a WDW......
Saying Disneyland is a mistake is like saying that if the Parent of a successful man wasn't as wealthy, or educated, then that Parent was a mistake

Oh, and I like Captain EO, it has good music, Angelica Huston is very scary in her make-up, and it is fun to see all the stupid stuff we thought was cool in the 80's again! ;)

I suggest you read more books, watch some videos, do some research.

I'm sure I've read more books and watched more videos about Walt than you will ever be able to. You don't have the mental capacity to absorb the knowledge.

I did a google search for it, and it did not come up. Surly something like this attributed to Walt would be on the internet.
the_google wrote: No results found for "Disneyland has too many mistakes. We will make the Florida Project bigger and better.".
As previously stated, Walt never felt that Disneyland was a mistake. It was their sandbox, where they learned how to do everything. Walt's only regret was not buying the land that surrounded the park.

It is time for you to prove where your quote came from, give us the source, otherwise it is just another FALSE posting by you. Citing a previous post of yours is not telling us the original source, unless you're saying that you are the source of this quote, which then we can all conclude that you are full of shit, which is something most of us already know.

In the words of the late Ed McMahan, "You are correct, sir!"

Next time a mod reminds y'all to "play nice", DO IT!

Again, a new thread on Captain Eo will be permitted. Try not to screw up next time.

I would just like to add that I am ashamed of everyone's behavior here. You all know better than that.
