In your post you polished & laid every fact out exactly. I've posted & preached often, but have never come close to the perfection of your well crafted words. Must be a southern thang, so I was informed. ;)

Thank you both for your compliments. Our freedoms don't come free, they are bought and paid for by the men and women in our armed forces and I understand this fact quite well. The American Flag is not only the symbol of our great nation but also is symbolic of those freedoms. I love this country and cannot express the gratitude I have for the people who fight for our freedoms and the freedoms of people around the world. There is nobody you can trust more to hold our flag than a veteran who fought for it. I wear a Mickey Flag pin on my costume everyday because I love America and want to show it. It is always there, right by my name tag. You insult America or our veterans in front of me and you'll regret it. We are among the greatest nations on Earth because of our veterans fighting, and dying, for the freedoms many people take for granted.
Ernie fought for America in the Marines, he fought Disneyland to allow him to have a proper flag retreat (he says what they had before was not proper), and now he is fighting to continue allowing veterans hold the flag for a few minutes before he takes it backstage. He's not going to give up his fight and he knows he can't do this alone. It's going to take guests writing letters, going to City Hall, etc. to get the apparently unpatriotic managers to change their minds.
May God bless America!
Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.
