Well, aren't you kind!! With your theory I'll not walk until 3:30 a.m., maybe even 4 a.m. Won't get home until 4:30. SUCKS! We shall see. As of now my schedule still has me home before dawn. ]
Wonder why she didn't say anything about the other side of Main Street... :D:

On that note, Main Street East is supposed to be my home, but I've been spending more time elsewhere on Main Street lately. :( (not necessarily Emporium...)

I figured that that would be the only place open an hour after closing as usually in DL that is the last store to close on Main Street.

All stores on Main Street stay open an hr. after closing. Even Eastside. :)
Remember The Voice? "Main Street will be open until 1 for your shopping convenience." Insert 10 if attractions close at 9. Main Street is always open later to take your last dollar & make your wishes come true.

See my memory did not fail me, lol. I remembered them staying open one hour later as security herded the crowd out of the park. Thanks Main Streeter.

I read the original post and immediately thought of you! :p:

I was going to say something like, "I'm sure Main Streeter would be more than glad to stay late." :p:

And when the hunger for the adventure becomes too much, fun Nemo-themed food creations, such as a snack pack with cheddar fish crackers mixed with an "East Australian Crunch," popcorn buckets, cupcakes, frozen apple juice and more, will be available for purchase in ports along the way and throughout Tomorrowland.
Ports along the way? I can see it now....While in the middle of the ride, the ride suddenly enters the sub lagoon and stops. The hatch opens and a cast member comes down and starts peddling East Australian Crunch, popcorn buckets, cupcakes and frozen apple juice. Then, the ride starts back up and continues on it's journey until the end.

NOW we know why the ride lines are going to be hours and hours long :) Our non-existent Ed Greer just pointed it out to us.

As for keeping the Emporium open hours later...I'm glad I'm not on Main Street anymore. The extra hour is bullshit! That is the main reason I got the HELL out of Main Street. And, I was on the Clothiers side of the street when I was there, not the crappy Emporium.

When Disneyland Park soft closes, all of Main Street remains open for an additional hour after park closing, but Emporium, being a larger store, takes longer to clear out. A soft close at Disney's California Adventure Park leaves Greetings from California and Engine Ears Toys open for an additional half hour. When either park hard closes, the stores close with the park.

World of Disney has something they call a "soft close" but it's really just "Hey, let's close our doors 15 minutes later than the posted time because we haven't reached our gross sales goal yet."
