Um, that would be me mentioning slow truckers. My parents were truck drivers for many, many years and I happen to know first hand that things like this [running totally out of salt] can happen and can't be stopped. Let's say, for example, all the salt packages were coming out of, oh, I dunno, somewhere in the Midwest. Now, in order to get all the salt from the Midwest to the West Coast you're gonna have to drive over a few mountain ranges. [The Rockies.] What if there's a snow storm? What if they close the roads? You're stuck until the local counties and officials say it's okay to pass.
Or, what if you had the misfortune of being caught in an avalanche? My parents got stuck in one for three days somewhere in western Wyoming. And, on top of that, if you're stuck, that means everyone else is stuck, too. You know what that means? NO SALT. That's something that switching supply companies won't fix, ya know?
