Coaster goes down when we a super cell/storm move through. Not because of the weather itself, but because of the exit ramp getting backed up by people not leaving.

Considering Coasters "main emegency exit" is the exit ramp...yeah, in the event of a lightning bolt hitting the building and causing a fire, we have nowhere to go. Well, the guests don't...We have about seven different routes we can take to get the hell out.

yeah during lighiting it seems everything down to Swiss Family tree house goes 101.

But I was at the park earlyer today as a guest and got in line for Astro when it went 101 for lighting...I have never seen a more rude guest in my life...yelling at the "bottom of astro" CM about how he just destroyed his day (mind you its 9:34 and the park closed at 10). He was alos dropping the F bomb and the S bomb and every other bomb possible.

Makes me glade at Space we usually have 2 CM at almost every position...giving you back up. God knows when a out of control guest is going to come storming up the FP line.

Guests can be quite rude when astro goes 101, especially to whoever is at astro bottom. People usually freak out at me for not giving them attraction re-entry passes. Cry me a river people seriously, it's florida and hurricane season it's going to rain, deal with it! Ranting over, I've closed down that attraction a few times because of the weather, however if a guest begins using innapropriate language, I do suggest they finish their conversation with security.

Lol! I like that. I can just see one of our cast members inviting a guest to 'finish their conversation with security.'

Wow. Generally, DLRP guests count as the rudest of them all, but I have to say that whenever I've had to close a ride due to a thunderstorm, I never encountered any verbal abuse... Sure you get people demanding Backdoor Passes after waiting at Dumbo for an hour, but in general, they're quite understanding.

The big exception was during one heavy thunderstorm at Casey Jr... I had to evacuate the waiting line (which is covered by trees) and I had several groups of people refusing to leave out into the rain. I had to remind them with some urgency that it is not a good idea to stand under a tree during a thunderstorm.

Yeah. Back to WDW now.

Which is why at rope drop (If I'm available to do it), and I do my opening speil to the guests I tell them this:

And in case any of you don't know, this is FLO-RI-DA. We are not known for our cool temperatures and sunny days in the afternoons during the summer! We are known for our hot temperatures and rain in the afternoon. As they say at Splash Mountain, Dry is NOT an option! There is a slight chance that one or two rides will close because of the rain. After it rains, it becomes humid. When it becomes humid, you WILL get hot! Please drink plenty of water and powerade...and no, the alcohol loophole does not apply for water!

Granted, it's only 100 people or so that hear me, but even if was ten people, if Coaster goes down due to weather (Because of the exit ramp being backed up), or what have you, that will be ten or 100 people less that a cast member will have to deal with....

Seriously, do you want to come over to mk and give this speil? Even then I still would probally get the questions of why is it raining, when will the rain stop, why is it so hott, blah blah blah... A fellow cm did get asked why it isn't written anywhere that people should drink plenty of water )common sense?!?. )

You think that's wise? Putting something on the maps saying to drink plenty of water and locations where you could buy water or locations of water fountains?

Guest: Do you sell water here?
CM: (At a cart that sells nothing but water) Nope, we only sell fertalizer for plants.

See what I mean? Remember, I'm on a quest to bring the IQ of many guests to a reasonable level....do you realize what questions would come of this terror?

Yes, but who would I laugh at guilt free? :p: It only bothers me when guests become angry over their stupid questions or they are putting themselves or another guest in danger (safety first). I love a good laugh. If all of our guests were smart I would become bored very easily, I don't know about you, but I like stupid questions so I can have witty answers. Plus if the guest understands the joke, they laugh about it too, it's great.
