Re: Deal for housing project near Disneyland goes off track
Well, the article does state that the potential buyer/builder didn't come thru with the downpayment even with 3 extensions. That's pretty seriously damning right there. Still, you want your DL experience to be a unique one and I was pretty unimpressed with the fact that there were malls right next t...

Re: How to deal with sidewalk bullies
I just don't understand how so many people (sidewalk hoggers) can be so indifferent to the people around them. I guess they were just raised incorrectly or something. The stuff I've witnessed makes me really wonder sometimes; why can't you just smile and people will part the way? BTW, I also equate ...

Yeah, that is a good idea, but by stopping, you're not walking any more, which is also as good as giving up ;)hobie16 wrote:Rule #5: Stop and let them walk around you.

How to deal with sidewalk bullies
I don't know what it is with people, but when they're 2, 3 - even 4 - to a breast coming down the sidewalk (or even just standing there blocking it) they somehow feel as if the rest of the world should just walk around them. As if being in a group, they act like some kind of SG unit - larger and str...

Re: More annoying: The parents or their children?
Oh, and by the way, in case anyone's wondering (and because I feel compelled to make sure this is clear!), I never actually touched the kid. Mostly I just yanked my bag out of his reach and shooshed his thieving mitts away by waving my hand at him. ... although... My evil inner self wishe...

Re: More annoying: The parents or their children?
Parents for sure! I was hanging out with a friend who was working a P&P Party rope for the fireworks by the storytime garden. THis guy comes up with his daughter dressed as Belle to him and demands ot know why they haven't been able to see Belle all night (this was at 9:20pm). He rants about ho...

Re: The water is green for a reason
Don't they bleach the water to death at Disney? I always assumed the water was chemically toxic, not biologically active ;-) Oh, and frankly I'd rather have the chemicals.

Re: Fountain frolic
In the Blastzone and Coke Soak fountain areas, people were allowed to frolic around as long as they wore shoes and were moderately covered. I saw many but NAKED kids, bare chested toddler girls, bare chested chubby pre-teen boys with man boobs, and bare chested hairy fat men that were their with no...

Re: consumerist article on CA injury situation
They actually have a very stiff code of conduct. You ARE allowed to question the OP, but you're not allowed to make pat statements like "the OP is in idiot" or "Company X sucks". In that latest Blizzard Beach article, a former Disney employee weighs in - basically saying that the...
