"Afraid" of kids
So, I am the first to preach that Disney has tons to offer childless adult couples visiting. Even single adults. But, if you are going to say you're "afraid" of children (basically the guest's words) ... why in the name of all things would you book a vacation during Christmas - New Year's ...

Re: Armed Robbery in Nassau, Follow-Up
Haven't been to Nassau yet personally, but I know that when I was in Charlotte Amalie recently on a cruise stop over, I couldn't walk 10' without seeing a police officer. Saw some form of police car pass by very frequently as well. Similar could be said about San Juan right near the port area, notic...

Re: Sign? What Sign?
What I find most interesting is that if you come in on Western Way, the signs to not stop are there of course, but then they have HUGE margins on either side giving plenty of room (and basically encouraging) to stop. Its almost like when they built Western Way they realized that they were going to h...

Re: Stupid stage scheduling tricks!
Well, not exactly. When you are picking up an EHH in a different area than your own, a few things to remember: You are paid per that union contract wage level based on your company longevity. All of those union rules apply to your pay, break allowance, and walk time (if at MK). You must meet any tr...

Re: Unattended Items
In the stroller parking area by Autopia and FNSV. Where there is absolutely NO SHADE. Yeah, there was security waiting for them when they got off of Autopia. T Year, year and a half ago or so, PotC at WDW, same thing. CM went to move a stroller in the stroller parking area, and ther...

Re: Unattended Items
Ahhh, unattended bags. Made that security call several times. My most memorable was when I was in the wheelhouse position of the Riverboat and I was walking down from the wheelhouse on the Texas deck down to the Promenade deck to open the gates. And guess what I saw ... yep, a backpack just sitting ...

Re: Going to WDW tomorrow ! And I have 2 questions...
My wife, 5 1/2 year old daughter and myself are headed to WDW tomorrow, for 11 days! I hope to encounter a few of the CMs I have met here, especially the famous Zazu and Shorty82. I have a very good idea where to locate them, and will be contacting Wallaby when he returns from his holiday. Anyone e...

I KNEW IT! This site is just a source for you to use for Jungle Cruise Skipper jokes! Sounds like you will have the best Jungle Cruises EVER! :D: I did Jungle for 2 years, and was a trainer there. Never used this site ever for any material. A good skipper gets their material (when they'r...

Re: Massive Layoffs Hit WDW
Yea, at WDW, it would be things like Ticketing, Revenue Control, Deployment, Disney's Photo Imaging (PhotoPass) and Guest Relations. It hasn't gotten that bad here at the DLR, thankfully. We've had layoffs, but mostly because of positions that have been consolidated with Parks & Resorts HQ in B...

Re: CMs and First Aid
Ahhhh, the good ol' DHMO scare. Good to see it pops up from time to time. I had my first experience with this 'scare' back in 1995 when I first got on the internets.
