Tower of Terror Urban Legend?

I heard from the custodial cm who does tower at dca 3-5 days a week that the elevator in the exit area is under lockdown because it can access many levels of the tower and if you were to exit at one specific level, like 4 or 8 or something, there is a generator that can cause a person to go sterile from the radiation or electric field or what not. Is this true? Also creeps me out that i can hear almost the entire ride narration from the 2nd floor night custodial closet, the thing is basically right behind shaft c. Then the elevator drops, the lights dim, and the ac vents shake and I go running like a girl to the 1st floor

I'm reminded of the safety review we had one place I worked when a similar rumor got started about a piece of equipment.

"The good news is, that yes, this machine can produce sterility. The bad news is, it taks twice as large a dose to make you sterile than it does to kill you."

Please don't consider this system appropriate preparation for "date night"!
