Unused Frozen Song

At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Interesting find, but I think it wouldn't fit in either...it would have been great to add a little bit more about the sisters' frustrations in dialogue or a song but this one seems a little too upbeat.

On the second disc of the soundtrack CD set there's back ground about these songs and the reasons they were eliminated. It really wasn't so much a cut for time as it was changes in the direction of the story.
I think they landed on a good through line for the story and I really like the music we ended up with in the movie, but I do like a lot of the discarded songs, too, even though they wouldn't have worked as well in the movie.

Re: Unused Frozen Song
Love 'em, but especially the second one.
Unused songs like this make me philosophical. I marvel sometimes at all of the effort that goes into creative things that either don't get used or don't last -- like the hundreds or thousands of man-hours going into a theater production or performance, or ice sculptures (or hotels!), or those elaborate cakes or sugar showpieces you see on the Food Network. So much inspiration, so much creative energy, so much work, for so short-lived a product. Makes me appreciate them even more.
