Disney blowing thier own horn?

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

so tonight I go to see i frankenstein.
and I see, Frozen - sing along now playing, and the regular Frozen is there too.
so now you can watch the movie in sing along form while anyone and thier mother screeches along.
wow, Disney can now grovel and blow thier own horn at the same time...

I'm not quite sure how that's blowing their own horn. It's certainly increasing their profit by claiming more screens and giving people a reason to come back, and it's a frightening prosepect for me personally, but why blowing their own horn?

I had to put a leash on my kids and tie them to the bedpost to keep them from going to the theater this weekend for the sing a long. (jk, lol my bff Jill)

We had way way way too much to do this weekend to go, but I'm sure we will be singing in the theater this week. They loved the idea of the sing a long and now I can hear one song at a time instead of the 3 different songs sung simultaneously in different rooms at rock concert decibels in our house. We have already seen the movie 4 times in the theater, but they are excited to be able to actually sing a long instead of trying with every fiber of their being to not sing with the movie, like the last 3 times.

What a great way to suck more money out of us die hards, but I guess that's why we make it, so we can spend it.

If I sing any more Frozen songs in the presence of my Family, they will kick me out :xmas-smiley-010:
Going to the Theatre to sing along or in my car is the only safe way to "Let It Go!"

I can hear you all groaning from here

Is there an Olaf Smilie?

Why hold yourself back? You should share your music with the patients at work. You might see some miraculous cures.
