Please Help Camaro

A couple years ago, my roommates discovered a cat living under a Camaro belonging to our neighbors in our shared back yard. So that became his name. Camaro is a bit shy, but he's a good cat. Earlier this year, he had to go to the vet to drain a couple of catfight related abcesses from his shoulder. The other week, my roomies C.J. and Diane stayed a week at Diane's sister's place to dogsit while her sister went to Vegas. I fed the cats--one across the street, Camaro and Nick in our yard. But Camaro hardly came out from under the house the whole week; lots of food went to waste.
When C.J. and Diane came home, they searched for him and finally he came out. He was so out of it he couldn't find his food dish. He also was bleeding from the mouth. Diane had me look, and Camaro had bitten the side of his tongue and cut it nearly off. He had a broken tooth. So he was taken to the vet, where he was transferred to OC Animal Care. They put him on IVs because his condition was so bad. Diane has been calling them to check on him every two days. Because Camaro is in an unfamiliar place, he's been labeled aggressive, but he really isn't. If a rescue or foster care place isn't found for him, he will be put down. He's neutered and about 8 years old. What we're planning to do is once he's put up for adoption, we will adopt him and bring him home.
I'm trying to find foster care or rescues, but if anyone here lives in the Orange County CA area and is willing and able to foster Camaro, or knows somebody who can, please let me know. I'm offline Sun/Thur/Fri, but any help would be appreciated. Camaro is at OC Animal Care, his animal ID number is A1261148. He's neutered and presumably up on his shots. Thank you.
