Saudi prince reportedly spends $20 million at Disneyland Paris

Theme park prices are on the rise, but how can anyone blow $20 million at Disneyland Paris?
Saudi prince Fahd al-Saud, who booked whole sections of the park for himself and 60 friends over three days, spent 15 million euros, or roughly $19.5 million, to "celebrate his degree," according to the French news agency AFP. The celebration included tailor-made events involving "rare Disney characters," the news agency said, quoting Euro Disney, which runs the park.
The spending spree is good news for Disneyland Paris, where attendance grew by less than 2% last year compared with 2011, according to a report released Tuesday by the engineering and consulting firm Aecom and Burbank-based Themed Entertainment Assn., a trade group for designers of theme parks, casinos, restaurants and zoos. By comparison, the world's top 25 theme parks enjoyed an average 5.2% increase in attendance in 2012 compared with the previous year, the report said.

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

Disney will do almost anything for you, if you pay thier price. you can get Burt and Mary in your hotel room at 6 am serving you breakfast and singing good morning, good morning.

I remember a conversation years ago with Clopin in Fance at EPCOT. The Hunchback characters were around then, so maybe they are avaiable in Paris as rare charcters. Clopin was not amused when my wife asked if he knew where Pheobus was as he was her favorite. :D:GaTechGal wrote:I wonder what rare characters were there.

Old Disney characters that usually only appeared in comic books--like Horace Horsecollar, Clarabelle Cow, etc.?
