Unbelievable funny guy. I remember when he was drinking and had to be brought down from the rigging on the Balclutha in San Francisco.
He also did a one hour special in Disneyland years ago. He went from attraction to attraction basically doing improv comedy at each one. He got on the Constitution dressed as a pirate and threw the crew overboard. He would have strung Captain Jack up from a yardarm.

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

Wow, another legend gone. He was a masterful ad libber -- his TV show used to have a segment where he'd just wander through an "attic" filled with junk, and he'd just pick up items and improvise bits with them, often comedy gold. RIP Mr. Winters.
Is it just me, or has there been an unusually high number of prominent losses lately?

Got to read his book "Winters Tales" years ago. Very interesting.

One of my favorites with him was "The Russians are Coming! The Russionas are coming!", but I loved him in most everything I saw. Very sad.
