Just a quick up-date on me...
I know I haven't posted a lot in recent times. Before it was because I was feeling a bit down because I was having troubles, employement-wise. However, this month, I've at least at some seasonal employment at Sur La Table! It has been going pretty well. Hopefully, this is the start of something good...

I know just where you're coming from. I was having employment troubles myself. For reasons I will not go into I got termed from Disney a few months back and never heard back from the union about my grievance of the termination. Well, today I interviewed for a job at The Home Depot and got the job! Hopefully I'll start soon, when they get the results of the pre-employment drug screening back they'll call me.PatchOBlack wrote:I know I haven't posted a lot in recent times. Here's to employment!

Cashier as that's where I have the most experience. According to the manager who interviewed me they like all their employees to start at cashier and be there about 6 months or so then move around the store from there.hobie16 wrote:Which department?

Don't go for the plumbing department. I bought a hot dog at the stand in front of the Home Depot. I ate it and then entered the store. About ten minutes later my stomach really started churning so I began looking for the restroom.
Did you know the toilets in the plumbing department are for display purposes only?

Clean up on isle 6! That would explain why I couldn't get them to flush properly! The moral of the story, don't get a job there as janitor. :p:hobie16 wrote:Don't go for the plumbing department. Don't you know, you have to go to Sams Club for the hotdogs, not Home Depot.hobie16 wrote:Don't go for the plumbing department. I bought a hot dog at the stand in front of the Home Depot. Discounting convenience, there is a place here called J Dawgs that has the best hot dogs I have ever come across, and I know mystery food. Absolutely amazing.
