Harry Harrison will not be down for breakfast

Post by WEDFan » Fri Aug 17, 2012 8:42 am

Since there seem to be a good number of Speculative Fiction fans on the forum, you might want to know that the writer that gave us the Bill the Galactic Hero and the Stainless Steel Rat passed away this week.

If you like humor, social commentary and science fiction, and you haven't read Harry, you should give him a try.

I loved the Stainless Steel Rat series. Probably still have the books around here somewhere.

Harry Harrison was one of my favorites. Also, for those who didn't know, another of his books was "Make Room, Make Room," which would be the inspiration for the Charlton Heston "Classic," Soylent Green...
