Pizza Flyer Stuffers...
Pizza Flyer Stuffers...
So, I'm at Kidani, and I see some schmuck putting those pizza delivery flyers under the doors. There's been so much fraud through these, I reported it to the front desk. (I was going through the lobby, so I did it in person.)
They sorta acted like they didn't care. I seem to remember Zazu saying these guys should be reported.
Should I bother reporting them?
I mean, I'm not going to go out of the way to do so if no one cares, or nothing's going to be done about it...

I, for one, thank you for reporting it. Just by being there and soliciting without Disney's express permission, they are violating company policy.
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

I hate that when it happens.
playing dead after a long day in the parks, and then you hear shuffling up to your door, and they jam it thru the door.
sort of ruins the disney feel. Disney is suppost to be a place the excape the regular world. and I love when you are sitting in a restaurant and peddlers come up to you while you are eatting to sell you crap. or ask for a donation.

This is surprising. I worked for the Dominos on 192 in Kissimmee which serviced Pop Century, they wouldn't even let us past the front doors. Eventually we became friends with security, so they'd let us in without a problem and park in Valet (which was much nicer then when they made us park and walk up!). However to my knowledge, NONE of the delivery places where allowed to flyer WDW. Not even the LBV area places could do that past Hotel Plaza Blvd.
I can understand why they have the measures but many people tended to become very irate that they had to come down to the lobby to collect their pizza. I always wished they'd put something in the room saying "If you order off property you must collect your food at the front desk". Cause you know, it's really the drivers fault Disney won't let us past the door.. stupid people.

I think I also heard that there was some sort of fraud going on with the flyers. When we stayed at AKL last time I believe they recommended not ordering from flyers.SG I Yam wrote:So, I'm at Kidani, and I see some schmuck putting those pizza delivery flyers under the doors. You would think they would also be interested in the fact that this person is obviously not a guest nor an employee of the resort so effectively they were trespassing.

Understandable reaction. It may just not have risen to that level of bother at Kidani Village (yet).SG I Yam wrote:So, I'm at Kidani, and I see some schmuck putting those pizza delivery flyers under the doors. The reason there is such an issue with it is that Bay Lake Tower is supposed to have locked doors with only residents and cast permitted inside. Thus the owners get especially irate about the problem, as the flyer hangers are not just trespassing, they are "entering under false pretenses".
For all I know, BLT may be the only location where Disney is actually setting up to trap them, but it is disappointing to hear that other locations aren't "with the program".

While in Orlando last December, there was a flyer in the room when we arrived. Too tired to care, I went to sleep. The next morning I exclaimed "Look, our flyer had babies". There were now three of them on the floor.

Why not just have the Disney 'suits' call the company and tell them to knock it off ? :crabby:

I've heard this has been going on for quite some time. It's a scam to get your credit card info. There isn't an address or anything like that on the paper. It's a pretty pathetic way to get money, kinda like all those booths that sell used tickets on international drive.
