Mouse Rage
Mouse rage happens when people are hot, tired, and crabby in the parks. My husband and I had a little mouse rage once. We got from our hotel to the MK, and THEN realized we only had one of our key's to the world. We stood outside the MK yelling at each other about it while our kids pretended not to know us. I am sure the people walking by found it funny. We still think back to that day and laugh.
A friend of mine was mad at her husband for some reason and was yelling at him in a park. She had a map in her hand at the time. She crumpled it up and threw it at him before storming off.
Post your mouse rage here, or the mouse rage you have witnessed.

When I was in Grad school and lived a little closer I used to like to go to the parks around 2pm and watch the meltdowns begin. We usually go like to go to the parks from 9:30-10am to about 1-1:30pm and then come back after dinner for a few hours. That's about all I can handle. And I don't even have any kids!

Re: Mouse Rage
We were at Disneys Hollywood Studios once, getting ready to go into the queue for the tower. There was a female guest, in front of the entrance, who was yelling at her son. He looked to be about three or four years old. This guest then proceeded to grab and to drag him by the hair. Another female guest questioned her behavior and they started a loud argument. The next thing I know is that security showed up and both parties disappeared. Guests behaving badly can really be a real downer for other guests around them.
Re: Mouse Rage
I used to go into DCA and watch all the guests get confused and angry trying to figure out why there are walls everywhere.
Every once in a while you'd get some ragers. One guy tried to beat up a construction wall. It's one of those moments where EVERYONE feels embarrassed for you.

RIP Bud Hurlbut.
You will be missed.

Hubby and I say it's not a real Disney vacation unless we have one knock-down, drag-out fight during the trip. :D: I swear, it's true....and I can remember each and every one.
Honeymoon in 97 - he refused to go on BYMM (he really dislikes thrill rides). I got pissy, because I didn't want to go by myself. We argue....he goes one way, I go another in MK. BEFORE cell phones. He found me wet and miserable in Adventureland near Pirates.
In 2006 - the argument was in EPCOT over something so trivial, I can't even remember what. But again, he went one way, I went another. We cooled off and found each other later.
In 2007 we were in Animal Kingdom. I swear, they pump the heat into that park!!! I was preggers and sweating and tired and miserable. I took it out on him. Poor thing. I cooled off near the bar in Africa (there's a low wall and if you follow it, seats waaaay in the back). My family got to see Flights of Wonder and do a couple of meet and greets that I regret I missed to this day.
In 2009, my mother in law was just moving too slow. I yelled at hubby that I had just had enough and needed some space. He said "it's a family vacation". I said, I know, but if I don't get some space, I am going to kill someone. So, I took DS (the one who likes thrill rides) on a couple of rides to cool off.
Mind you, prior to us separating, we are screaming at each other. At least we provide entertainment for others!

Don't feel bad. Last trip I decided I was tired one day and spent it in the room. Thankfully my husband went off and played with his niece and nephew.DragonFox98 wrote:In 2009, my mother in law was just moving too slow. Re: Mouse Rage
Our last trip to WDW I managed to somehow bruise two bones in my foot, which made it swell up something horrible and rendered me unable to walk for more then about 25 feet. I did try though! I got from the parking lot of Epcot to the front gate before I was screaming and crying in pain. My poor husband,he offered to take me back to the hotel. Hell no, I was on vacation and not giving up. The sweetheart sat me down then went in.. got my gimpy self a wheelchair and came back to get me. He also brought a bottle of water with him and poured a mixture of Advil and Vicodin down my throat.
He didn't say a word, he just pushed me straight to Mexico. Bought me a Pina Colada then asked "Better? Is the park safe from your murderous wrath now?"
Thankfully at that point, the meds slowly began to work and rum for me is instant happy juice!
Poor thing, he's such a sweetheart :)

We all have our limits, we need to know when we are about to hit them and then Stop, Have that break with a drink or a snack, cool off from the heat and remember the fun is in the journey :)
