what about the parents

The kids are great and i know it's part of the reason why we're here, but what about the parents, i know some of them could starve a brain slug, but what about the rest of them, that actually watch their kids, all day, and make sure they are moderatly well behaved, and always support what we ask of them, like "GETDOWN NOW OR SHE'S GUNNA KICK YOUR ASS!" only with out the coming back and sitting on the wall part? I had a great time the other day talking to a retired man who seemed to be just starting his family, probably well-to-do, who had commented that if he lived here, this is where he'd work, and wanted to know what kind of work we do, what is the process involved with getting hired, and trained, who does what, do you like your job, what are the hours like, is the pay good(didn't ask for numbers, didn't give any) and after having a horrible night, it really made my day better to spend 15 minutes discussing what i do to make my living with someone who not only seemed to genuinly want to know, but who understood what a day in the life would be like, and respected me for it. The children are great and all, but to earn the respect of an accomplished elder, sometimes is the other end of that great feeling, when a guest doesn't take you for granted, and realizes you're a real person who's playing a role in the grand scheme of things, and enjoys the park for that reason, and not because it's someplace to come and let others think for you, too bad he said only only comes once year or so...
