CM Video

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

CM Video

I want to say thank you to the 50 Cast Members who contributed to this video I made for my granddaughter. It is actually 27 minutes long, but it is trimmed down to just the great people who star in it.

Very cute idea! Thank you for sharing it.

When I went to Disneyland a few years back, I asked a friend if he wanted anything for his daughters. He came back the next day with a small poster that had all the Disney princesses on it and a message that read "Hi Suzanne and Sydney, We can't wait to meet you!" He asked me to get as many pictures as possible with the princesses holding it. He and his wife were planning on surprising the girls with a trip and this was going to be part of the surprise. By the fourth day, some of the princess escorts were telling me that they had heard of me when they saw me pull out the poster. My friend framed the original poster with the pictures that I had taken.

I'll have to show him your video. :D:

What a great idea. I wish we'd thought of that on our recent trip. My sister and I carried "Flat Stanleys" of our brother Scott and his wife to WDW with us. They live in a yurt in the foothills of Mt Rainier and fell trees for a living (he's retired from the Seattle Fire Dept). He thinks Disney has corrupted the minds of his two sisters so we took them along on our trip and took pictures of them enjoying the resorts, the attractions, and the scenery. My sister is creating an adventurous story about Scott & his wife coming to rescue us from Disney and we'll insert the photos into the text.

Of course, in the story Scott will eventually come to realize that we have not been corrupted and don't need rescuing. We're hoping the story will open his eyes a little to the magic of Disney, and perhaps some day he will agree to visit DL or WDW with us.

What a sweet video. It increases my longing to, one day, visit WDW.

Thank you for the nice compliments. Several of the CMs asked if the video would show up on You Tube. When I asked if that would be alright they all replied yes. As you all know it is the cadre of wonderful CMs who make WDW so special.

I don't think it would be an exageration to say that, without the efforts of top-notch CMs, the Disney parks would just be another set of theme parks, despite the expense put into them.

I know 3 of the CMs pictured in this video :)
