OK - It's official.....just booked my airfare

Post by DragonFox98 » Mon Mar 14, 2011 2:15 pm

You are about to be invaded by the DragonFox clan. I just made the airfare arrangements leaving Oct 20th and returning to South Jersey on the 29th.

I can't wait to come down and see my friends!!!

You gonna give us a hint about which coast, or should we all worry?

Was going to ask this same question Zazu, until I looked @ her avatar info - "Epcot." Think WDW will be visited. :)

I was booked once. didn't get much of a thrill from it thou.

last time I went to DL I got there late on the bus friday night.
dumped my stuff in the room, ran accrost to the park, ran up to the gates,
have a nice day, see you tommorrow.....
sat around for like 1 hour just watching people leave and them closing up.
walked slowly back to the motel 6 and watched cable untill I passsed out.
beware the free breakfasts thou, all the good stuff goes poof at like 6am.
all I saw left was old fruit and cereal.
geez, tourists are like locusts clearing a field.

Sorry, Zazu.....I so often think in only "my" terms that I forget I need to actually explain things. As Main Streeter guessed....my family is headed to WDW. Unfortunately, I won't be able to hunt her down. ;)

DM, thanks....I soooo need a vacation it's not funny. And my whole family is really looking forward to it. We're currently booked at the Poly, but I'm hemming and hawing so we eventually might end up somewhere else. I'd like the Boardwalk because of it's close proximity to World Showcase, but I don't know, the Poly is just so different (remember...I live near Atlantic City and all those shore towns). Additionally, I want something that has a food court and the Boardwalk doesn't offer that.

And I promise, we will make it out to California sometime. Donny wants to see San Fran (he's a 49ers fan, please don't hold that against him) and I just want to see some of the state.

So, now on to the planning. We're going to plan out where I need to make dinner reservations over the next couple of weeks. And I've finally put all my Disney music on my iPod; so, whenever we're in the car, that's what we're listening to. I can't believe how excited Amy is...I mean, she is in middle school and I thought she would think she's "too old" for this trip, but she's as giddy as Quinn. The cute little bugger even picked a Mickey shirt to wear this morning.

Yup....I've got them obsessed!!! LOL

Hope you have fun down in WDW. If you ever come to Disneyland in California, I will be easier to hunt down than our elusive MainStreeter. She chooses not to be found, and she is shy unless she knows someone well. That is the truth.

I've guessed as much! :) It's all good. I do want to come out there maybe for a long weekend. I've never been to California; I used to travel a lot for archery tournaments, but that stopped once I left home and I pretty much stay on the East Coast. My theory is there is so much to do around here, I don't have to go far from home. For example, my daughter and I made a day of it in Philly's Chinatown a couple of Saturdays ago. However, I know that there is nothing like the original and I want my family to visit it at least once.

I am just so excited! Last night, hubby and I were going over our resort options yet again. Like I said, we're booked at the Poly and I would really like to stay there, but it's more cost effect to stay at a moderate. And I really did like Port Orleans Riverside (my older two are part fish, I swear). So, I'm just playing with options.

Oh, and on another note, Quinn starts a preschool program with our school district next week. It's because he is still not talking, so he will receive speech therapy in addition to the social interaction with other kids.

Yay vacation! I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time.

As a resident of the Bay Area, I feel obliged to warn you away from calling it "San Fran" while you're here. We call it SF or the City. Oh and DEFINITELY not "Frisco."
