They contracted with my next door neighbor's company to print all the menus, just in time for the next sailing. They placed the order on December 22. Four working days is ample time to create all the menus (I mean, covers and all!) for 4,000 guests!

I also find it interesting that on the ship, 12% are inside, on a ship where, for once, the inside staterooms can be better than the outside.

Looking at the pictures at Orlando Sentinel (and it's nice to see them being useful for once), looks like it's a beautiful ship. New pictures updated today. 148 in all. Take a while. Appreciate the artwork.

Cool, another way to waste time at work and put off doing my final stats for 2010!

I hope our first Disney cruise can be on-board this ship, she is a beautiful ship!

Does anyone know if the Disney Dream had passengers on board when it arrived or did it sail empty?
Although it's one of the older ships, I am glad the Disney Wonder is coming to the west coast. I really want to do a Disney cruise someday!

I seem to remember on the cruise site being able to book the cruise. But I don't honestly remember. It could have been another Transatlantic that I saw. None of the pictures I've seen so far had guests.

According to Disney's blog the ship didn't have paying passengers but passengers that were getting paid (castmembers and some contractors). They were putting final touches on items throughout the ship as it sailed.

Love the fanfare, but I can see the complaints now...

"I went on the Dream, and it didn't do that when I came into port!"

Of course, half of those will be from the Carnival Dream (their new ship that came out roughly the same time... coincidence? I think not...)

We are booked on the Dream in late August. Our group has one outside and 2 inside cabins. i have been noticing that the inside cabins are just as expensive as the porthole cabins, likely due to the virtual portholes in them. I just hope they dont upgrade ouor inside cabins to porthole cabins and move us away from my in laws balcony cabin. Currently the inside cabins are across the hall from the in laws balcony, one of the big balconys at the stern.

It's too bad they messed with the proportions of the Magic and Wonder when building the Dream. The extra two decks, the wider top decks, and the extra length make it kind of boxy looking, and more like a princess ship than the classic ocean liner silhouette. It is real obvious in the videos how much the lines of the ship are changed.
