Ok... well "Pleasure Island" was a Pinocchio reference... clearly a place for adults to partake of things which would turn small children and puppets into Donkeys....

But what's the idea behind the name "Hyperion Wharf"?

Hyperion refers to Hyperion Avenue where Walt built one of the first studios. I think it might have been the first one they built from the ground up, I'd need to double check that.

If I recall correctly from the personal tour I got from Dave Smith, yes it was the first one that was all them. I've also been to where it was, it's a shopping center now. :(

So, they are modeling the one at DTD after the current one?

There's some concept artwork in the first link. The Rock n Roll Beach Club and Motion buildings are slated to be demolished, the Mannequins building will be re-purposed. None of the artwork shows the west end of the island where Comedy Warehouse and Adventurers Club is, though.

I looked at the pics. In theory, it sounds like it would be nice, something to do later in the day, but it really will be no PI.

Hyperion Wharf, to me, sounds like an area one would find in Rapture from BioShock.

The design does look nice, though.
