You should rephrase it to "It LOOKED. . ."

The animation and style looks like it belongs on the Gamecube or N64. Even if it is limited by the Wii, it still should look better than this. It's the one thing that turned me off on this game. It had such potential to really be eerie/scary (in certain locations). But when I got a chance to demo one of the levels (With the game looking near completion), I just laughed at it. Hopefully the plan of bringing it to PS3 will come back with an "up-conversion" on the graphics.

The question on my mind is...is it fun to play?

That is something that I have been thinking about as well. I wouldn't want the game-play to be too convoluted or tedious.

So hopefully it is fun to play.

That's the whole reason I play video games, because they're fun to play. I don't pick what to play based on anything other than that, not graphics, not sound, not story, nothing. Unfortunately, developers these days spend all of their time and money on making the graphics prettier and not making their game fun, which is why there are so many bad games on the market.

I think what a lot of you are not realizing is that this game is supposed to be a "rebranding" of Mickey for the new generation. The idea is that they're trying to sell Mickey as an adventurer who will do what it takes to save the world.

He's done that all ready. It's called Kingdom Hearts. (I don't have the time or the energy to go into the KH canon right now. If you know the story, you know what I'm talking about)

The gameplay for EM was meh at best. The controls felt set to where my dead hamster could play it. For such a rich world that they were trying to pull off and how "grand and epic" they were making this out to be, it really did hit the paint thinner and just fizzled. Maybe the final product will be better, but I'm not holding hopes at all for it.

Oh, I'm well aware of that.

And I'm also very familiar with the Kingdom Hearts series. (I love it)

With Epic Mickey, I'm guessing that Disney's goal is to do a adventurous Mickey game without Final Fantasy elements.

Yes, there are many video games that are pretty dull.

I've never played Kingdom Hearts but always wanted to. I so wish they would release it for other systems.
