I'm curious on how they're going to pull this off? Randomness or 'line up here' for destination X?

It might very well be random. As crazy as that sounds (and fodder for SGs) it would make the most sense.

For a few years now the Imagineers have been trying hard to make the parks less predicable.

RX-24: Welcome aboard! This is Captain Rex from the cockpit. I know this is probably your first flight, and it’s… mine, too! Ha ha.
(Tone sounds, indicating the ship is ready to launch)
RX-24: Well, it looks like we’re going to have a smooth flight to (insert planet name here), so I’ll go ahead and open the cockpit shield.

...

RX-24: Uhh… I meant to do that! A little shortcut… Ha ha!
(Star Wars theme music cuts in sharply)
RX-24: Artoo!
R2-D2: <Whistles, awaiting orders>
RX-24: Lightspeed to (insert planet name here)!
R2-D2: <Pipes acknowledgement>

...

RX-24: Hey, sorry folks. I’m sure to do better next time. It was my first flight, and I’m still getting used to my programming!
(The shield at the front of the ship starts to raise up)
RX-24: Hey! HEY!
C-3P0: (on the cabin monitor) We do hope you enjoyed your tour of (insert planet name here), and will come back soon. Now please remain seated until the captain has opened the exit doors. You may then unlatch your safety restraints by pressing the release button on your left. Oh, and do make sure you have your personal belongings. Thank you. Goodbye!

That's how they do it?

"A little swordplay, now and then, keeps my mind off sheep!"

"You're messing with my Zen thing, man."

"Dreams are as portals,
flat visions of misty places,
fragments bound below my surface,
but I can write dreams,
they flow from me,
inscribed but now unbound,
I touch them,
and they are real,
and they are real."

Its hard to say at this point. I would hope that is would be more complex than that.
One thing that I have been wondering is what the new droid pilot will look like. I remember seeing concept art in the Opera House lobby at Disneyland.
I suppose that one possibility is that each cabin will have a different droid.

I am thinking Horizons style....everyone votes...majority rules....and we fly off to.....somewhere.

Wait....Alderaan? I thought it got blowed up.

Oh wait...Star Tours II is supposedly taking place between Eps III and IV. Right?

Ugh, the Star Wars Nerd in me right now is SO confused. Why would they still have Endor in there? I know Hoth is going to be one of the locales as well.

Ugh, just give me a 3 3/4" scale StarSpeeder in the toy line and I'll be happy.

RIP Bud Hurlbut.

You will be missed.

Correct.

By the way, I think I speak for most people when I say that I'm very glad that they are still going to use the Star Tours chimes.

I really want to know more info on the pilot. My biggest concern is the voice. I really hope they can get Paul Reubens to do it again...make them the previous version of the RX series.

LOL, Don't worry, I thought the exact same thing about Alderann. Maybe you get to be there while they Death Star shows off that it is fully operational.
