No Mail on Saturdays
So the USPS is proposing to stop Saturday mail delivery.
"A new five-day delivery schedule could save the cash-strapped Post Office $3 billion annually, the agency said. "

Discuss.
I personally would like to opt out of getting mail all together. All my bills are done electronically. The USPS is nothing more then UPS, or FedEx to me. I only receive packages from them (and the junk mail).

But how will I send you a Christmas card with my son's picture on it? And a Christmas newsletter that brags about how wonderful my life is, even though we never talk during the year besides the exchange of Christmas cards??
Personally I think it sucks. When I used to work, I worked from 8-5 every day, no lunch break (I know, not legal) and could only go to the post office on Saturdays. So anyone in that situation would be in a jam.
How about they ban junk mail and credit card applications, that would probably get rid of %50 of the mail delivered and save a ton, not to mention some trees!

The post office will still be on open Saturday for people to take care of things, they just aren't going to deliver mail.

When did they stop delivering mail twice a day? I'm only 53, and I only remember the mail coming once a day.
