A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Had a wonderful day at Carpinteria State Beach, Had S'more Peeps!:peep
Came home to hear about Earthquake on News with a muddled report of people being evacuated from DLR

I hadn't gone there in anticipation of larger than usual crowds, so can only imagine what CMs might have endured.
Hope everyone is OK! :)

Haven't heard anything about the park from my friends on Facebook, but we didn't feel a thing.
I was bringing my wife to the Gamble House in Pasadena (Doc Brown's 1955 home in Back To The Future) when it happened, and the car rides rough anyway, so we didn't feel squat. *LOL*

It was a 7.2 centered 16 miles SSW of Guadalupe Victoria, Baja California, Mexico. I was sitting up here in my room on the top floor of a 3 story townhouse when I first heard noises that sounded like my hosts had come home, but I hadn't heard the garage door open. Then I noticed the shade on my desk lamp is wobbling, the windows and everything else are shaking/rolling, and then some chick out in the parking area downstairs is screaming earthquake. So I calmly got up, got Tripod--who did not appreciate having her nap interrupted--and crouched next to the foot of my bed. It went on for quite a bit. I noticed that though Tripod's water dish was full, it didn't spill, just had ripples going across the surface.
I was perusing the Weather Channel site when it happened, and the USGS site was next. I filed a felt report. How does that happen? I think that's like the third time I've been about to go to or just got off from the USGS site when a quake hits! That's almost as bizarre as solar eclipses occurring on mom's birthday, July 11th--there was one about 15 years ago, I think there was one a couple years ago, and there's another one this year! And they always seem to be total eclipses, too! Weird!

Hmmm, neither did Darph. Was it the distance from the epicenter or was it just a really great Party? ;)
