Hey everybody....ex CM here. my feriend gave me a link to this site and i think it's hilarious! my most memorable story about guest's inability to comprehend simple things....
for some reason people can't seem to read the menu and if they did they would know that there is NO MEAT IN THE VEGETABLE STEW! anyway this one time i was in a articularly bad mood and i think it was nearing the time when i was gonna quit anyway so i kinda didn't wanna deal with stupid people and after they asked and i reassured them it was indeed VEGETABLE stew i turned to my fellow cm and asked "are there strawberries in the strawberry shortcake?" i'm pretty sure the guests heard me but nothing much came of it.....
Why can't people read????

Sigh, my fiance is a vegetarian. Many vegetable soups and stews are made with a meat based broth, so unfortunately it's a legitimate question that just sounds stupid.

yes but they don't ask if it's a vegetarian stew...they ask if there is meat in it. when they asked what kind of broth it was i was more than happy to tell them it wasn't meat based. but asking if there was meat IN IT is different...besides...it describes it right there on the menu

Perhaps they were concerned about having any meat such as a base for the sauce, etc? They just did not express themselves accordingly. There are a few things that I can not eat so I have learned to be specific when I ask these types of questions.

First off I'm sorry that you are suffering in east Texas. I cannot immagine in living in such a place like that. With that aside I can sympothise with you because at the Great Movie Ride the most common question that I get is: Is this a ride? I sometimes feel like saying no stupid, we only call it a ride to confuse you. :bang: If only some people would think before they speak.

think before you speak? WHAT?!?! that makes no sense at all! and that reminds me... my favorite guest quote was right before fantasmic this lady wanted to get back up toward CC and kept getting trampled by people heading towards NOS. She turns to me looking all exasperated, points over her shoulder while faceing me at HM gate and goes "How do i get THAT way?!"

I also had a very conderned woman come ask me at unload if we had had a grad night the night before...
Me- no, it was on thursday night.
her- well obviously you guys dont check or clean your ride very well after.
Me- (still trying to unload buggies and speil) uh, why do you say that?
her- you know the Bride in the attic?
Me-(slightly annoyed) yes....{hello i work the ride}
Her- well, shes holding a churro and i just thought you should know.

PLease tell me where in the world the sell churros that light at one end and glow like a candel... :roll:
and yes... i took a ride thru on my break and it was working... sheesh
