A much needed get away

Post by Monorail_Red » Sun Sep 27, 2009 9:19 pm

Just wanted to do a quick write-up...

Well as many of you may know from reading my posts, I had a few ups and down, and one of my ups has been being accepted into the WDWCP for Spring 2010 Transportation.

I just got back from another wonderful stay at the World. It was great meeting you all in person finally: Big Wallaby, Doctor_McKey, KidAtHeart. I know that I told a few other CM's on this board that I would swing by and say hello, and I apologize if I did not - my schedule didn't turn out as I planned it to be. But I promise, I will be back in December! :)

Thursday night on my way back from Epcot I cought BW's resort train back to the Contemporary. My favorite part was when he "Paused for the effect" hehehe :D:

Also, I was able to bond with Monorail Red which was a special treat for me. Whenever I stay at a Monorail resort it seems that whenever I go to the platform, wherever it may be, it's always the same Monorail that pulls into the station. Like I remember my first stay at a Monorail resort...it was Green, then the year after Yellow, etc. Every day when I want to the platform with maybe one or two exceptions, Monorail Red was there! :) So pilots please take good care of her until I get back in December!

Friday night in the MK was MNSSHP, and we had the Mini SGT Meet & Greet, and I enjoyed meeting you all. I apologize I couldn't give you my undivided attention for the other night as I had another event that evening that I already committed to.

Today on my way back to MCO I left WDW property a bit early since I had a rental car and I wanted to drive by the CP housing. So I drove backstage and turned right past the Monorail Barn and I saw the Disney University, and I also drove by Vista Way, Chatham, and Patterson...as well as Mickey's Retreat. I can't wait for my CP to start!

Anyway getting back to why this was a much needed get away. With being accepted into the WDWCP after having a few down things happen to me was a huge boost. But for some reason I just couldn't see past December...and this trip was exactly what I needed: I have already begun to make my Disney family, and just one weekend there knowing a few people felt awesome. As I said before I can't wait for my CP to come and I can finally become a Disney CM, and make the magic happen for kids of all ages...just as the CM's did for me when I was younger and visiting WDW over the years.

I can't wait for my December trip. It will be my last trip to WDW ever...that is being a guest! :D:

Normal Visual!

OMG Red!!!

Somehow I missed that you got accepted into Transportation for 2010-- I am so happy for you!!! AAHHHHH!!!!! (sorry had to get that out of my system).

Aren't monorail folks great? I can't wait to get back to WDW (maybe next year...) and spend some more time just 'having fun riding in circles' as one pilot working platform teased me when he realized I was at the Poly station for the third time that morning...

Congratulations, glad you had such a good trip and got to have a mini-meet and greet!

I'd love to ride as BW piloted! He explains all so well, & finds the tiniest detail interesting. Such a fun CM - with a huge heart of gold. You met one of WDW's best Monorail_Red. Congratulations on your CP location. :)

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

Thanks Bru! I did another write up on that here. Got to post #40.

I scored an interview with WDW Imagineering/Operations for a 3-term Industrial engineering co-op!

LOL, kind of a random thread to hijack, no? :D:

But anyway, congrats!

I figured its on the same line as your CP adventure but does not warrant its own thread.
