All about cast previews

Post by LittleDollClaudia » Sun Apr 11, 2004 1:15 pm

Okay I have a question. I have just received a fax at my work saying that we hotel workers get to go on Tower of Terror. A nice little perk, I guess. Last time was for the Snow White show. But anyway, has anyone heard anything about the new attraction? Will it be worth me going in at the crack o' dawn? Any responses are welcome.

I've heard it's supposed to be REALLY good... I'm going on the 19th, tho I must confess I'm not all that excited about it... but that's prolly just cuz I HATE elevator drop rides. My mom used to work for the park tho, and she wanted to go, so I figure I might as well check it out.

God must love stupid people. He made so many of them.

The WDI (Imagineer) preview was last night, and from the few I talked to as they left, they said it was a great ride. :)

I am thinking about maybe making a trip this summer sometime, like mid june on a wednesday, just to go on it.

i had a walk thru and it looks realy cool. i am a chicken though when it comes to freefalls so i would never ride it. i heard from an opening crew cm though that technology is already doomed. he sayed if they have all elevatorshafts running at full capacity it draines so much power that it shorts itself out after 10 minutes.
"hi welcome to tower of terror. i know we just opened one hour ago but please try back later we are experiencing technical difficulties at the moment. i'm sorry ma'am."

i know you are an idiot but can you try not to be so stupid?

I heard the same thing, I dont like free falls either but i am going on the 21st, i want to go on the one at WDW, but that wont be happening anytime soon, so DL is my chance right now, I hope its good.

I thought when we did CM previews to Tower 4 that it was well worth getting up that early to go ride with hardly anyone else there. It was fun :)

I've ridden the Tower of Terror at WDW. If this one runs the same program, it'll be worth it before the crowds hit.

I gotta say.. I was impressed with it.

When word trickled down into the parking lot that if you had time, any CM could ride it today... me, another CM, and our lead all made the hike from the downtown disney valet booth to TOT to ride it at 9 tonight instead of taking real lunches.

I enjoyed it a lot. I don't want to go into details and ruin the ride for everyone who will be going on it soon, but I give props to the imagineers that created it.

The only downside... I can't see waiting 2 hours in line for it when it opens for real because it's a little short. It's worth it when it's only a 20 minute line though.
