Re: I am speachless.....
It sounds like the complainer waited until AFTER he was home to complain. I think he should have brought the room assignments up when they were checking in, if it was that important. Personally if we went to WDW with our extended family, I WOULD want a room a little ways down the hall for DW and I!!! hehehehehe
The dining plan thing seems to be just a glitch, same with the park tickets. I would think that he could have gotten it fixed at the hotel after the first problem with using them!

I've become very cynical where guest complaints are concerned, especially when they wait till they come home to address it and whine to a columnist.

The whine was very late, yet whiner was refunded $1,030 + given $100 gift card. Seems to me this guy came out ahead. :( He'll learn from this & perfect his whine wherever he goes.

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

I could've sworn we had a thread exactly like this, with the same title, some time ago.... And it was about the exact same thing.

Re: I am speachless.....
Really. I'm really bothered by trying to fix it after the fact. I have NEVER had a problem at a Disney park which wasn't fixed almost IMMEDIATELY when I brought it up to someone. I especially love it when low-level front line CM's get a chance to fix something because they tend to be the ones with the most pixie dust running through their veins. (Also, because I like to follow the military adage of "handle things at the lowest possible level.") But even when something more major has happened and managers need to get involved, it always goes well and with minimal delay. There's a reason I pick Disney parks for 90%+ of my vacations, and it's not because this guy's experiences are the norm. (Of course, I'm just completely ignoring his complaints of monorail delays and room assignments and such. Those are bogus. I've never been late for an ADR and not had them [a] still let me in and get me seated as quickly as possible...even at the nice/extremely crowded restaurants!)
Also, I don't know if there's a thread for it somewhere else already, but after Big Wallaby's recent monorail delay issue, I can't help but think that, the next time I'm on a delayed monorail, I'm going to go out of my way to get a CM to relay to the pilot my thanks for being safe and PROTECTING MY MEASLY LITTLE LIFE! :D:

And if the Monorail breaks down, we give you all the information and help you need to not have an issue.
It's like the people that I had tonight at the Epcot Monorail platform.
I was walking back to the middle of the train to help them get off the monorail and before the doors were completely open they were grabbing the ramp to put it down themselves (and backward).
I asked them to let me do it.
They said that at the TTC, I had opened their gate and walked off and they had had to do it themselves there.
I had walked off, because I was going up to drive the train. Someone else helped them.
Looking back, I know the people that were working the platform at the time. They helped them. There is no question in my mind.
The guests lied to me.

Re: I am speachless.....
darph, most would say you were lucky not to see me. :D: Yes, you really should have bitched abt your hotel! The front desk had not clue who you were. Had no room res. under your name & swore "No person with that name will be staying with us this wknd." They sent me away 2xs until I became so frustrated I insisted the front desk go through every res they had by name & city. They were not thrilled with me.darph nader wrote:What a crock of shit.
