Space Mountain in your own backyard!

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Saw this and had to show you folks:

Anyone got a few thousand dollars and an extreme love of the ride?

My favorite part is:
(Please note: Persons seated inside the vehicle should not activate the lap bar, as it might not be possible to release the lap bar from the down position.)

Could I get a bank loan for that?

wow...

sad thing is, I know a guy who would have bidded that kind of money on
it had he seen it.... it'd fit right in with his backyard tho. He has
everything back there from an arcade to a go-cart track

Yup. That's the rocket. Stupid sh*t hole that it was. (I was the first
person inside the mountain when we had the accident and it gave me
nightmares for about a year so I'm allowed to bag on it.)

What was the accident? Sorry, I didn't start working at the park til '02
and I never really paid attention to anything that went on in the park
before that.

From what I understand, and correct me if I'm wrong, the brakes failed
as it was coming back into the station and it rear-ended another rocket.
No fatalities, but there were a few serious injuries I think. This was in the
summer of 2000, before the Roger Rabbit accident. I was working at the
Emporium the day it happened, and that's what we were told.

The 2 rockets colliding actually happened sometime last year before the
ride closed. The brakes actually didn't fail. There was a problem with the
park air line leading to the brakes. There weren't any real serious
injuries. I think a bloody nose was the worst. For the one that happened
in 2000, there was a bad bolt in one of the bogies. Not sure how much
detail I should actually get into since non-cm type people read this so this
is all I'll say.
