A 47-year-old Clermont woman was killed Sunday afternoon when she lost control of her car and crashed into a bus on Walt Disney World property.
Teresa Scarborough was killed.
Nine passengers were aboard the Disney bus. Two were taken to a hospital with minor injuries, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Scarborough was driving a four-door Hyundai north on World Drive when she missed a curve, veered into the wrong lane and struck the bus, the patrol reported.

WOW, well, when a small sedan hits a big bus..
Sad she lost her life. Hope the injuries for the bus riders are very minor!
Lost control of her car? Mmm, Drunk?
or just a HUA driver?

I feel sorry for her family and it is sad that she died. Please wait for an autopsy before assuming she might have been drinking. She was on a curve and did not make the turn. I have done some crazy things while driving and seen crazy things happens. The cause of death was from the bus hitting her small car. Even an experienced sober driver can miss a turn and veer into oncoming traffic. I wonder what she was doing on that road, was she with her family on vacation or was she a CM or what, we will have to wait and see.GRUMPY PIRATE wrote:WOW, well, when a small sedan hits a big bus..

I will pray for her family as they surely need healing mercies right now.

From what I've heard, yes, she was a CM.mechurchlady wrote:I wonder what she was doing on that road, was she with her family on vacation or was she a CM or what, we will have to wait and see.

Re: Driver dies in accident with Disney tour bus
I know way more about this incident than I can ever say. All I will say are four things:
First, the papers, like usual, aren't even close to accurate, but I don't think we want all the details to come out, except for the second and third points I am about to make.
Second, the driver of the car was doing several illegal and stupid things that I can't go into. Suffice it to say speed kills, she took herself out and I am so glad she didn't take anyone with her. When you drive that stupidly, you deserve what you do to yourself, though the people who have to scrape you off the road deserve none of the work you cause them.
Third, the driver of the bus was a true hero. Because of her actions, the loss of life and damage to property was minimal. The driver and Disney are in NO way responsible, and the driver should be commended. Driving a few inches to one side could have been absolutely disasterous.
Fourth, and it only matters to me and should be completely unimportant to anyone else, I was the first driver ever to drive the bus in question. It was a very good bus and I considered it my bus. It literally started service on my first night out on my own.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?
