I just HAVE to know about the cast members at Cinderella's Royal Table. They cracked me up. Are these guys just going giddy in the head from having to call guests "My Lord" and "My Lady" and such all day, every day? I felt like there was this veiled sarcasm that I don't think most of the people picked up on. The sarcasm felt in-character and out-of-character at the same time. My royal husband picked up on it too and took this awesome picture of our lowly servant Carl.
I'd love to know what these guys say behind the scenes. I have a feeling they have to deal with a LOT of spoiled little girls and their parents, and still call them "Princess" and "The Royal Family."
I LOVED eating in the castle, as did my daughters. Carl and his mildly sarcastic friends made it even better for us good-humored parents. Thanks Carl!

yep, all guests are suppost to be royal dining guests of cindy and the king and addressed and treated as such. and the staff is suppost to act like they work for the king and queen. if they are starting to act like it's a joke with guests they are breaking out of charactor and very unprofessional.
someone needs to go back to basic training. a real pro won't break out of charactor no matter what. hmm, have some of the lead face charactors spend some time with them.

Oh no, they weren't acting like it was a total joke, it was a subtle kind of sarcasm that you might think a "real" servant would have while serving arrogant royalty. Just enough not to be entirely hidden, but hidden well enough to not get their heads chopped off for sure, because the Queen is too self-entitled to notice that it's not entirely sincere. :D:

Carl served my family back in January, at breakfast, and I concur with your assessment. His character was perfect for the part, and it helped make it a fun meal. The bit of individuality shown by the various servers may be lost on the children, but we parents appreciate it ! :)

If he's pulling it off perfectly in character as you say, then I absolutely love it. I do the same thing, though with a different style.
Many of us have some Haunted Mansion within us.
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?
