Just Saw This on Board XX

Post by Whazzup » Fri Mar 20, 2009 5:52 pm

Does anyone know anything about this? There are some skeptical responses as well as several sympathetic comments.

Hmm, no link to a news story. and it sounds like the same sort of injury that happened to the actress.

I hope its BS! I would not want to read about a CM's death from something so minor.

That's what I'm hoping, too... that it's not true, although the OP does have a good amount of posts on those boards.

I hope its not true. I just asked my fiance' who works at OMD and Narnia with a lot of Back Lot Tour people and he hasn't heard anything... at least anything yet.

The OP later said:
"I sorry for the mis-information. My sister works the Backlot tour, Mermaid, and Playhouse. She was working at the Playhouse. I assumed she was working the Back lot since that is where she works most of the time.

My sister was working strollers at the Back Lot Tour. The woman in the ECV hit her from behind, and knock her to the ground. Her ankles were bleeding from the impact. ( I guess cut up ) Also she hit her head on the ground when she fell.

She was told she needed to be watched for at least 24 hours, to make sure she was alert every 2 hours or so. When she called me last night and told me the story she had said Disney ( Her boss or someone ) gave her that day off with full pay, and she was given today off with pay also, so Disney knows what happened."

Very Horrible.
I suppose it could be true, and that no one would make up such a thing. Most head injuries don't end up with someone dying, thank goodness, but I had a College friend who died at age 29 from a head injury after a car accident. Not a scratch on her. :(

gosh I hope its NOT true. there was something on the thread about the victim being 17? would that be a CP?

I remember watching the (Discovery channel?) series on emergency rooms, and there was one por guy that had a head trama, with the expected outcome. (they did show that despite opening the skull to relieve the pressure, the brain swelled out the opening)

CM died story - is it true??

Post by sandravb79 » Sat Mar 21, 2009 4:20 am

I read on DISboards that a CM at DHS died after being hit by a ECV at Backlot tours or Playhouse Disney.
Apparantly she got hit by an ACV while working strollers, smacked her head on the ground, went home and died there the day after.

I feel like the story that is posted is fake, and I guess this would be the place to know for sure, because I guess if one of your coleagues dies, you would know, right??

We already have a thread on this, right here.
