CM's and Make a Wish.....
Hi, I'm Loriann, and i just found this board. My son did his MAW in 04. It was a great experience. While staying At Give Kids the World, one of the volunteers, who was friends with Goofy, arranged for us to have a meet and greet under the castle with all the characters. It was incredible. The characters treated our family like gold and Mickey didn't even flinch when I burst into tears all over him.
CM's all over the resorts seemed to go out of their way to make our trip memorable. Thank you to all the CMs that made my son's wish come true and gave us a vacation that we'll never forget.

It always brings a tear to my eye when I see the characters giving a little extra attention to a MAW child. It took some time for my daughter to understand it, but we kept trying to tell her that these kids may not ever get to come back, and she should just be happy that she gets to come as often as she does.

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

AmazingGrace, I too want to wish you a warm welcome. As Cast Mebers we try to make everyones stay a memorable event. Some of us her try to go above and beyond when ever possable.
On a side note for the rest of the board.....
My wife works in the F-Land area and recently had an issue with the MAW buttons....
She had a family come up to her at one of the rides.. i think it was Peter Pan.... The Family had the GAC card, but looked odd in a way to her and she noticed that the parents had the normal white buttons and the kids had the dark blue buttons.... but no one had the MAW patient button ( Pink for girls and lite blue for boys ). She was going to question it, but allowed them to enter the ride and advised them that they needed to go to GR at City Hall to get a new GAC card as to the other one did not look like it was still valid.
I explained to her that their are places off property and on the net that sell GAC cards and MAW stuff for those who should rott in a warm place that smells of sulfer... and no.. I dont mean Grumpy Pirates house.... =-P
I truely want the best for those who diserve a well needed vacation with their loved ones who may or may not make it to see another vacation.

Re: CM's and Make a Wish.....
Make a wish is such a wonderfull orgainization and Kudos to all of you CM's who make it a little more magical for these incredible, strong, brave, children. I am getting choked up just thinking about them. But to hear that people may impersonate themselves as MAW to get on rides faster is just mind boggling and angering. I am so angry I think I may have just made up a word.
I have only one word to say "KARMA"

Welcome!
This thread speaks reminds me of the many reasons why I applied and interviewed for a position at my local MAW office. While I unfortunately didn't get the job, I love supporting them any way that I can.
