A friend of mine is heading to DL and bringing his kids and grand kids. They'll be in the parks this Tuesday for a few days. He's worked multiple jobs for the last few months to pay for the trip. His name is Tavita and here's a picture of him.
One of his jobs is putting on a luau at a local hotel twice a week. There, he's known as...
CHIEF TAVITA!!!
Here's some pics of him at work.

Tavita is the kind of guy who's very quiet and unassuming but is the first one to show up if you need some help. If you see him in the parks, tell him hi and give him the shaka. If anyone can get a ukulele into his hands, be prepared for some excellent music.
Thanks!!

Tavita is Handsome! ;)
I wasn't planning on going back to Disneyland for a couple weeks, but if he wears his fire-eating outfit, I might have to fit another trip into my schedule! :p:

You women!! You're so predictable. Tavita does get invited to a lot of parties by the ladies to do his fire dance. If the poor guy wasn't so tan he'd be beet red all the time.
When he does it during a luau at the Westin there's at least four guys on stage. They toss the torches back and forth and even up to another guy on top of a waterfall. It's pretty impressive.
It takes a lot of energy to do all that twirling. After one show I called out, "Hana ho!! (do it again)" He tried to drag me up on stage to make me do it.

You should have told him to push the trip back a week and we could have hung out at the Tiki Room and snacked on pineapple spears and dole whips.

Hawaii is on a year round school schedule. This week is the fall break. You'll see lots of people from the islands in the parks this week.
