I realise the restaurant's in chaos. I STILL WANT MY FOOD!

Well, as mentioned in another thread, I recently worked my last shift in Disneyland Park Food & Beverage. And what a way to go out it was.

Everything was going well. It was a fairly slow day, and we were basically wittling away the time behind the counter.

This was broken when one of the soda fountains suddenly decided to go on the fritz and start spraying pop everywhere. This was immediately followed by a giant lunch rush, which was perfectly timed to coincide with the back running out of food and having to rush to make more.

You think this is bad already? I haven't even gotten to the part with the SGTs and SCMTs yet :p: .

So we're running to and from not only trying to get food (of which we had none), but trying to also jury rig the soda fountain system to get something so we could also serve pop while waiting for Maintenance to rush over.

All during this, we were informing guests that, due to circumstances beyond our control (most of which were fairly evident given the pop flying everywhere and CMs running to and fro :rolleyes :) that their order might take a while, and suggesting that they visit one of the other restaurants in the area.

Despite this, a CM rung up a guest who decided to stay, and less than a minute later, she was screaming at the closest CM that she was still waiting for her food. We tried to tell her that we were working to get her meal as quickly as possible. She responds by screaming that we're being lazy (and this is as things worsen and near chaos reigns inside the restaurant) and demands a refund.

Some people, eh?

That is sutpid, but then again they ARE SG's (hehehehe)

Look at it this way:

maybe that was the universe confirming that your move to the other venue was timed correctly!!

hehehehehe

Sounds like you literally went out with a bang. Are you sure your co-CMs didn't bring in the Diet Pepsi/Mentos guys to stage a farewell shower?

I heard that all the plants in Tomorrowland are edible- could you have sent her out to graze until her food was ready? :p:

Well, I never. Why in the heck would we ever do that  !?

....

It was Coke*, not Pepsi ;) :p: (j/k).

I forgot the SCMT part of this report. While this is all going on, one of the more jaded CMs (I'm sure all CMs know the type, the kind who say things like "as far as I'm concerned, the park closes at 5, 'cause that's when I go home" :rolleyes :) demands to take her scheduled break, despite the long line and general situation  .

This reminds me of a story that a SG told on one of those other message boards a few years ago, (not board X)
The SGT member IframedRoger may know what I'm talking about;

The individual (who is known as being huge troublemaker on this particular board; always acting arrogant, and belittling and insulting other members) told their story of how they were at the Coke Corner, and kept demanding chili even though the CMs had repeatedly stated that they were out, and as I recall, they kept demanding it even when the CMs offered something else.

The sad thing is, this SG thought that he was completely in the right.

I mean, its unfortunate that they were out of chili, but there was no reason for this individual to act like a child.

The CM should have done the following.

SG: I want chili!!!

CM: I'm sorry, we're out of chili.

SG: I want chili!!!

CM: Please spell our as in flour.

SG: O u r.

CM: Please spell mate as in legitimate

SG: M a t e.

CM: Please spell f**k as in chili.

SG: There's no f**k in chili!!

CM: That's correct sir. Now, what can I get you instead of the chili?

Sad thing is, the SG probably STILL wouldn't get it!!

I weep for all that wasted soda :(
Seriously, the place could be on fire and they'd still be wanting their food. Or their money back XD
