Subject: Pro Towel Trick

For those of you not in a department that would have any need for
these, a Pro Towel is the nick name for a diposable rag used all over
the resort. It's white, thick, and comes in two sizes. They have many
uses. Most of the time to pick up small spills. But how about socks!?
Yes that's right! A female CM over at the train asked me to look at
her socks, so I did. They looked like normal socks from a distance
but upon closer inspection noticed thay didn't go all the way around.
apparently she wore sandals to work and fror got to put socks in with
her work shoes. She did get away with it.

Anybody got any other Pro Towel Tricks? And yes we all have heard the
Pro Towel Bandage story. Actually I got to witness that one on my
first day of work.

No stories of my own, but for the record, if you don't use pro towels in your location, you can retrieve one from above any baby changing table :)

well it's not really a pro-towel trick, but that tale reminded me of a story.

I showed up barely on time on day wearing my gray/blue/yellow sneakers (like I said I was running late) luckily the lead was a rather forgiving person so one of the girls and I got a 45 minute task to color my shoes black... we're just sitting there with black markers, making my shoes fir the disney guidelines. Now we were sitting in the lead office which is adjacent to the corridor that people use if they chicken out before going into the attraction and whenever people would walk by looking in at us we'd just say "don't mind us! Shoe coloring department."

to this day I wonder what tales those guests tell their friends about the inner workings of Disneyland.

"How many people woke up this morning saying 'I have to do the Jungle Cruise?' yeah, me too, I sat on the edge of my bed crying for half an hour."

Deffinately reminds me of a blunder I made. When I hired in, I went to payless and bought these comfortable but cheap all black walking shoes to wear. Not thinking about it, I didn't really see the problem with the little cloth vents on the tops of them. :?

Then, we got that Saturday a while back where the resort got 6" of rain in one day. People thought it was hilarious, because they found me in the break room that day taping the vents on my shoes up with black duct tape. (unfortunately it didn't work, but it was worth a shot.) Lucky for me, I have poor circulation to my feet so it doesn't register when they are super cold (or in this case, cold and soggy)

Stupid Pro Towel Tricks

Pro Towels can also be used for humiliating horny teenagers... This ansion lead I used to work with called a bunch of CM's down one night while working a gradnight. After watching this couple getting it on in the dom buggy all the CM's went down to unload and waited for thier buggy as a ride stop was hit the CM's all responded with Thunderous applause and as they exited..the lead hands them a pack of pro towels and says"hey! someone has to sit in that...clean up that sh**" the girl must have turned about six shades of red

-"You know when Disneyland opened in 1955 nothing went right"
-"Yes John but when the Pirates of The Carribean Breaks down the pirates don't eat the tourists"

-(At the Indy queue) And over there we have Patrick...either that or Indiana Jones has really let himself go.

Pro-towels are good for keeping your hands warm too.

This past winter it was cold and our location was dead. So me and the other girl on the register next to me decide we're going to take some pro-towels and get them wet with the hot water we use for the hot tea. We did that all night and would just stand there at the counter holding the pro-towel til a lead/manager walked by and we would pretend to be cleaning, then giggle histerically when the lead/manager left. Finally the lead figured out what we were doing, and came up to us and said "you know... if you put hot water in a cup and held onto that, it'd prolly stay warmer longer"

God must love stupid people. He made so many of them.

lol. I love that, when the leads realize you're doing something weird.. and give you advice instead of reprimanding you. My hands have turned different shades before from how cold they get on the back of trams at 1am in the middle of winter. It always pisses me off that the faucets in the bathrooms a lot of the time won't run hot at all. All I want to do at the time is warm my hands up, and to no avail.

If you go to Wal-Mart or Target or just some sporting good store, they sell acutal insert to put in your gloves that are called hand warmers and it says warm forever and they are very inexpensive.

I love those inserts! They work great for putting in your shoes and keeping your feet warm too.

Oh, now you've gone and got all logical on me. Hehe. I am not on the back of the trams anymore.. maybe once a quarter.. so it's all good. :) Thank you for the advice though. I'll have to pass it on.
