Let's leave my child outside by himself, so we can all go have fun!

Post by glendalais » Wed Sep 17, 2008 3:08 pm

I just read a thread over on Board X that will just blow your minds (or cause them to expand in an explosion-like manner, in BW's case :p :)

A SG mentioned that they would be taking advantage of Early Entry (Magic Mornings), but that her five-year old son might not be allowed to enter for a bunch of reasons.

This is where it gets SG-ish

She was asking if she could LEAVE her five-year old son outside the gates, and have him come in an hour later with his AP and meet them by the Matterhorn.

Even worse, there are SGs who AGREE with her, and chimed in with their stories of leaving their children to wait at Blue Bayou for their table while they went off to ride Splash Mountain.

:banghead:

Oh don't worry... they can get even better...

One night at a certain attraction this lady comes up to Greeter asking them to call Security because she can't find her kid. As the CMs are trying to help her and understand where the kid was last spotted, the punchline comes...

Miss FSG (f*ing SG) was with her son who was too small to ride. But she wanted to go on the ride sooooo bad, she left her son with a complete stranger who had noticed this and offered to watch the kid. And much to her surprise... both son and complete stranger were gone.

There was probably a nice-sized stack of blue paper up in the lead office after that one...

According to my CM DL Security Officer friend this is very common. I forgot the code but hear it often backstage when attractions CMs, leads call abt a child left behind. More than SGT parents.

Oh my God! That's horrible! I've never heard of anything like that before. It defies the laws of common sense...oh, wait, SGs lack that. Sorry, I forgot.

But still...will they stop at nothing? Are there no boundaries to an SG's stupidity?

Lots of guests tried this at Universal, especially on the mummy. Some guests got fined by the sherrif's dept. for child abandonment.

And even more SGish.

It turns out the thread was a joke on the part of the OP and some accomplices  .

Who in their right mind finds it funny to joke about leaving a small child to fend for themselves. That isn't even a little humourous  .

I experienced this once. I was at DHS, and was over by the Playhouse Disney show. There was a little kid left with the CM. Apparently Mommy-Dearest wanted to ride all the big rides, but Junior was too short. So she left the kid with the CM and went off to ride!

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!
